Product Description
Silver Sulfadiazine Cream 1 Percent is anti-infective agent used to treat burns in dogs, cats and horses. Silver Sulfadiazine Cream is usually applied once to twice daily. The most common side effects are irritation and pain. Silver Sulfadiazine Cream should not be used in animals allergic to sulfur products. The medication should not be used in pregnant or lactating animals.

I’m not saying anything bad about the product, but I hope consumers realize that this is an ANTIBIOTIC and shouldn’t be used for anything minor. Mild sun burns are not a reason to use this. That’s what sun screen is for….Moms, may I suggest scare tactics for the kiddies who just “forgot” to put it on? This product is ment for bad burns with broken skin and bacterial/fungal infections.
Over-use of antibiotics contributes resistant strains of bacteria and fungus, which means it may work now, but it won’t work later….and you will need stronger drugs to kill your infection. These drugs are no stroll in the park some have bad side effects and others can involve a stay in the hospital with an IV in your arm.
This is a medication and its not without side effects. Please see your doctor before trying this product if you have Sulfa allergies!

I purchased this cream for an Animal of mine. I have a Rooster with a Foot Infection & the Vet recommended I user it in conjunction with an Oral Antibiotic for My Roosters foot infection. The Cream seems to be helping. I rec’d. the Orig. container & upon opening noticed there was a good size air pocket(aprox.15-20% was missing) I contacted the Co. & offered to send pics. He declined but in the end sent a new one without me returning the Orig.& free of charge. The Second one I rec’d. I noticed was mailed to me from a Local Vendor aprox. 5 mi. away. As a consumer I notified the Co. & offered the Local Vendor to come by & see First Hand what both containers looked like internally. My offer was declined. I ALSO Noticed the LOT# was the same on BOTH Containers. I will just say I recommend if purchasing that you check the product immediately.

Great product. Arrived quickly. I purchased it for sunburns and burns from things like very hot grills for my daughter who works where burns can be frequent. Thank you for being able to purchase this w/out a perscription.
